What is a corset and what does a corset do?
A corset works figure correcting and gives your body a feminine line. Do you think a corset is not comfortable to wear? Nothing is less true, a corset of good quality should feel like a second skin. Our corsets are all made with stainless steel spiral ribs, not plastic. A spiral rib can bend from left to right and from front to back, without deforming definitively. A plastic rib will deform as soon as you bend it, which means it can stick in your ribs and irritate it.
Corset for transwomen when you wear prostheses
If you are looking for a transgender MtF corset and wear your prostheses, it is smart to choose a corset without a too deep neckline, so that there is room to hide the prostheses comfortably and unobtrusively. A corset has no special compartments for your prostheses and is best worn over your prosthetic bra or top.
Buy a corset, what to look for?
It's important to choose the right size. If you buy a corset that's too small or of poor quality, you can damage your skin and get problems with your breathing. When buying a corset, choose a closure that you personally find most comfortable. Most corsets of Danaë Trans-Missie have a closure on the front or back, some have an invisible zipper on the side.
How to put on a corset?
When putting on a corset, we recommend to string the ribbon from the middle to the top and bottom. A corset must create a slender waist and fit most tightly at the waist. With one ribbon you work from the middle down and with the other from the middle up. In this way you prevent the ribbon from stretching while wearing and make your corset less beautifull or comfortable.
